The obvious choice for many is parking at the Heathrow airport car parks themselves, whilst not the cheapest they can be the easiest because of the close proximity to the terminals and the regular shuttles to and from.
Long Stay carparking is available For Terminals 1 & 3, Terminal 4 and the new Terminal 5 complex. These carparks are open all year round and the shuttles run every 10 mins and have a journey time of between 5 and 12 minutes.
For those with deep pockets then you may opt for the Business Parking which is closer to the Terminals and the shuttle service is even more frequent. Although be aware this does come at a premium price. The service for Terminal 1 even has a shuttle operating on demand or every 3 minutes, which is extremely convenient.
All of the Terminals at Heathrow Aiprot have Valet Parking as an option, providing a very convenient service especially for those travelling with small children and or large amounts of luggage. Simply drive to the clearly signed Drop Off points, unload your party and lugage, your car will be stored at a BAA secure car park while you are away. On your return simply return to the forecourt to collect your car which will be waiting for.
The Valet parking at Heathrow even offer a valet cleaning service for your car so it can have a hand wash and interior clean while you're away.
A number of hotels in the Heathrow Airport region also offer deals where you can stay 1 -2 nights and get 15 days car parking for "free". These can very often work out to be a great deal as they allow you to travel the day before, relax in a nice hotel and turn up to the airport much less stressed than after a long journey, also it lessens the chance of you missing your flight due to a breakdown or accident.
All in all your choices are many, but be sure you park your vehicle with a recognised firm and that you are satisfied the parking area is suitably secure.
